ValueOptions loses carve-out contract in Colorado.(Brief Article)

Denver-based Access Behavioral Care (ABC) has succeeded in challenging the nation's second-largest managed behavioral health care company, ValueOptions Inc., for one of Colorado's eight mental health carve-out contracts.

A state District Court judge ruled June 29 in favor of ABC, which had filed a successful protest with state officials against the selection of a partnership between ValueOptions and Pikes Peak Community Mental Health Center to continue managing mental health services in the Colorado Springs area.
