JACKSONVILLE, Fla. _ After deflecting questions about any change for Florida State football, coach Bobby Bowden embraced the topic on Saturday.
A change in so many ways offensively fueled a 30-18 FSU victory over unranked West Virginia in the Gator Bowl on Saturday. In a season peppered by disappointment _ especially on offense _ Bowden said he was thrilled to celebrate a postseason victory after a two-season drought.
"It seems like years since I stood up here and said we won a bowl game after we won so many in a row," Bowden said. ". . . We had all these big plays that happened the first half of the season and, for some reason, the second half of the season we did nothing. And so (Saturday) it finally popped out there again."
