New York Giants are willing to foot bill for new stadium.

Dec. 23--The Giants have gone on the offensive in their effort to build a new $700 million stadium at the Meadowlands Sports Complex, stressing their unprecedented willingness to pay for their own facility.

According to a document received by the New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority and obtained by The Record, the Giants -- who met with acting Governor Codey for two hours Wednesday morning -- estimate that in the past five years, the public has borne more than half the cost of construction for 10 new National Football League stadiums.

The Giants, though, are willing to pay all of the costs -- along with the NFL, which would contribute $150 million. In exchange, the team wants …
