Dec. 12--POPULAR PRIUS CARRIES A LOT OF WAIT: QUESTION: I hope you can help me understand the process of buying a new Toyota Prius. I understand the cars are back-ordered and take up to eight months for delivery. But I'm confused why most dealers don't have a test model.

I've driven a 2004 Prius and know that I'd like an '05. But I've never bought a new car before. Do I really just go into the dealer and place an order for a car sight unseen and take the price they give me? Is there no negotiating the price? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
