FTC staff are interviewing a number of people to act as the Monitor Truxtee for the America OnlineTime Warner (AOL-TW) settlement that bars AOL-TW from interfering with content from rival providers and requires the firm to share its broadband cable systems with at least three preapproved Internet Service Providers including Earthlink.

AOL-TW spokespersons declined to comment. but a notarized January 12 Initial Compliance Report signed by AOL-TW Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary Paul T. Cappuccio stated that the company is discussing terms with a potential candidate. The FTC settlement allows the FTC to select a company-approved Monitor Trustee …
