Those paying close attention to the New York Times Sunday Arts & Leisure section this fall no doubt noticed a glaring omission: the usual comprehensive listing of the upcoming week's performing-arts events. (The Friday Times's The Listings, which features "selective" recommendations of weekend events by Times critics, won't help most of the small-budget arts presenters in Manhattan, who once could count on Arts & Leisure to help them get the word out about their shows.) I'm sure the argument will be made that readers can obtain this information online, but listen up, A & L: not everyone in the world--particularly older readers--owns a computer.
