Seminoles to play West Virginia in Gator Bowl.(Knight Ridder Newspapers)

MIAMI _ Florida State will accept a bid to play West Virginia in the Gator Bowl as early as Tuesday, athletic director Dave Hart confirmed Monday.
West Virginia, which two weeks ago seemed destined for the Fiesta Bowl before losing two straight games, officially accepted its bid from the Gator Bowl on Monday. FSU cannot publicly accept a bowl bid before Tuesday, when the Atlantic Coast Conference announces the bowl destinations of its non-BCS teams.
