Apr. 5--TECH STOCKS: "Microsoft (MSFT) certainly fits the "lazy-stock' category. While technology stocks soared in 2003, Microsoft managed a paltry gain of around 6 percent. Its performance has not been any better so far in 2004, with this Dow component down 8 percent vs. a roughly flat year so far in the Dow Industrials. European antitrust concerns weigh on the shares, and one wonders if Microsoft has become the "tobacco of technology stocks' -- a company that will forever be in the sights of both litigators and regulators.
