Preview Night to benefit hospital's patient fund.
Let's say you're in the hospital, ready to be discharged, but the clothes you wore there were cut straight down the middle by the doctors who saved your life. All you've got to wear home is a hospital gown.
That kind of thing happens all the time at hospitals, but Presbyterian Hospital has a fund for just such emergencies. Called the Chaplain's Fund, it provides financial help for patients and their families in unexpected situations.
Hospital officials say a large portion of the patients treated at Presbyterian come from modest or even impoverished homes.
