SEMINAR: Using Excel and Interval Meter Data to Understand Loads and Cut Energy Costs
ABOUT THE SEMINAR
This seminar is designed to provide participants with a background in data analysis using information from interval metering and other sources. It involves instruction in using advanced analytical techniques developed by Audin using the Microsoft[C] Excel spreadsheet. The seminar design has end users working with their laptops in from of them, creating a hands-on training session. Disk-based data taken from existing building interval meters is provided on a CD-ROM that attendees can take home with them. Lack of a laptop does not, however, significantly hamper grasping the concepts taught at the seminar. Attendees will be guided through the basics of energy data analysis, interval metering and equipment, securing/formatting data, then using it to find opportunities for energy cost cutting and load leveling. Participants also see how load shapes change when cost-cutting measures such as thermal storage, demand response, coincident metering, temperature setbacks, and variable speed drives are implemented.
