LOS ANGELES _ This is not to Sugar-coat it or anything, but this USC football team is good.

Good enough to run the Pac-10 table the rest of the way and finish 11-1. Good enough to squeeze past all those other one-loss teams and finish second in the BCS. Good enough to go to the Sugar Bowl and give No. 1 Oklahoma the only tough game it might face this season.

The Trojans not only punched their ticket to ride into the middle of the BCS controversy by flattening a Washington State team Saturday that was a lot better than that 43-16 final score indicates, they did it on the same evening No.2 Miami was belted by Virginia Tech, 31-7.

"Did you notice that Miami score when it flashed on the scoreboard?" defensive tackle Shaun Cody was asked.
