Two years of frustration for Oklahoma was more than enough to overcome Oklahoma State's triple-threat offense. The Sooners swamped the Cowboys, 52-9, to erase the bitter feelings left by losses to OSU the last two seasons.
Oklahoma's point total Saturday nearly matched the 54 points Oklahoma State scored the last two years in upsets of the Sooners.
But the truly dominant performance was by the Oklahoma defense. The Sooners held Oklahoma State to 10 first downs and 161 yards and did not allow an offensive touchdown.
