GREEN BAY, Wis. _ When he is asked to reflect on how badly the season has gone so far, linebacker Na'il Diggs chooses to think of that moment after the season when it's just him, his video recorder and the NFL Yearbook tape of the Green Bay Packers' 2003 season.
He's confident _ no, he's absolutely sure _ that the narrative will be to his liking.
"It will be like, this was us in the beginning and then this is us after the bye," Diggs said. "I know it's going to be different. I know that. I just can't wait to do that.
"It'll be one of those things, 'Oh, the Packers got off to a slow start, then after the bye week they burst onto the scene.' "
Maybe Diggs is prescient. Or maybe he's delusional.
Whatever the case, one thing is for sure. If the Packers don't win Sunday night against the Minnesota Vikings, Diggs most likely will be watching a videotape devoid of any playoff action when the off-season rolls ...
