Oct. 19--WICHITA, Kan. -- The Chisholm Trail Country Store in Newton is a new farmer-owned business that will provide an outlet for locally grown agricultural commodities to be sold as livestock feed.

The business got seed money of $360,000 from a U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development Loan through the Sedgwick Electric Cooperative. It is beginning operation with 10 employees.
