A dietary supplement composed of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants may help slash the risk of cancer, research has found. A concoction of antioxidants effected a 31 percent reduction in the risk of all cancers in men. The study followed some 13,000 participants over a period of 7 years. Half of them took a multivitamin containing antioxidants such as beta-carotene, vitamin C, vitamin E, selenium and zinc. The other volunteers were given a placebo.
