Sep. 25--There hasn't been a lot to drink to in Hertford County since Hurricane Isabel came through a week ago. But at 7 p.m. today, it's Happy Hour.
That's when the county will lift the ban on alcohol sales that took effect when a state of emergency was declared after the storm. A curfew imposed at the same time expired this morning.
"A lot of people have been calling, asking about it," said Elvin Queen, manager of the Lowe's Foods store in Murfreesboro, where a hand-lettered sign has kept the beer and wine off-limits since the store reopened Monday.…
