SAN MARCOS, Texas_It is a sunny April afternoon on the campus of Southwest Texas State University. Everyone around here knows that this public university is the alma mater of Lyndon Baines Johnson, the larger-than-life-but-typical-for-Texas 36th president.
But there is another claim to fame, not as well-known, blooming along 1\ miles of the San Marco River that winds its way through the campus' parklike setting.
