PHOENIX _ Barry Bonds returned to action Monday with the Giants, apparently recovered from an irregular heartbeat that had left him gasping for air.
"I couldn't get any oxygen," he said of the ailment that sent him to the hospital Sunday. "I couldn't breathe."
But in typical fashion _ for him _ Bonds made a dramatic comeback Monday. He delivered the key hit, a two-run single, in the ninth inning to beat the Arizona Diamondbacks 2-0. Before the game, the intensely private superstar discussed his health scare and the trauma he endured during the last days of his father's life.
