PHOENIX _ Barry Bonds was back in the lineup Monday against the Arizona Diamondbacks, but before the game he revealed that he had an abnormal heartbeat the day before, which forced him to spend the night at St. Joseph's Hospital.
"Exhaustion was only part of it. I had an irregular heartbeat. I couldn't get any oxygen. I couldn't breathe," said Bonds, who spoke only to Bay Area writers, shooing all others away from his locker. "They said it was due to stress and exhaustion. It's been a long week. It's been a long two weeks, really. I feel better today. They got it corrected at the hospital.
