DALLAS _ Let's blame the preseason for the rash of injuries that will impact the fates of several NFL teams this season.
But that wouldn't be fair. Understand this: Football is a violent sport. When the NFL plays games, players get hurt _ whether the games count or not. If the NFL eliminated the preseason and went to a 20-game regular season, there would still be injuries in August.
