DETROIT _ Let's backtrack to spring training, when Travis Hafner and Ben Broussard were the hottest thing going in Winter Haven since the opening of the Outback Steakhouse late last century.
But who really cares?
Monday at Comerica Park, the two rookies conjured up memories of their heated competition during exhibition season, as the Indians beat the Tigers 7-4.
Both players came to camp determined to be the Tribe's Opening Day first baseman. Broussard batted .407 with four home runs and 10 RBI; Hafner was hit .375 with five homers and 13 RBI.
