DAVIE, Fla. _ The Houston Texans are their first opponent, but the serious wrist injury suffered by New York Jets quarterback Chad Pennington did not go unnoticed Sunday by the Dolphins.
Pennington had surgery Sunday on a broken and dislocated left wrist after getting hurt the previous day during a 15-14 exhibition victory against the New York Giants. Pennington is expected out for about 12 weeks, including the Dolphins' Sept. 14 road game against the Jets and possibly the Dec. 28 season-finale if placed on injured reserve.
