Aug. 8--CUT-AND-SEW WORKERS TO GET ASSISTANCE: Employees of VF Imagewear Inc. workers who lost their jobs in Brownsville on or after June 1 will be eligible for Trade Adjustment Assistance (TAA), according to the Texas Workforce Commission.

TAA is available to workers whose wages decrease, jobs are lost or work hours are reduced as a result of increased imports. Workers may be eligible for training, a job search allowance, a relocation allowance and other reemployment services. Also, weekly trade readjustment allowances may be paid to eligible workers after unemployment benefits run out. …
