DALLAS _ Kansas forward Nick Collison is the Beaver Cleaver type, a polite kind of kid who wouldn't dare throw any barbs or back talk toward Jayhawks coach Roy Williams.
No matter.
This past spring, his mother did it for him.
Williams said Thursday that Judy Collison hardly appreciated him telling Nick that he would be a likely first-round pick in last June's NBA draft. Mother wanted Son to get his degree. Williams did, too _ but he still felt he needed to be honest with his star player.
