OWENSBORO, Ky. _ In seven years, Kentucky will begin seeing an exodus of workers moving into their golden years, the first of a generation that has been studied for years and that has changed nearly every aspect of life.
Baby boomers have changed the way the nation shops, works, dresses, rears its children and even spends its leisure time.
Will it change the way it retires?
It should, a policy analyst from the Kentucky Long-Term Policy Research Center says.
"That's not very far ahead of us," said Michal Smith-Mello, co-author of the report "Planning for the Future: Findings from Research on the Commonwealth's Current and Coming Retirees."
"We're talking about something that will happen in seven years, which is a blink of an eye when it comes to public policy. We need to (prepare) because people will need our help."
