John Allan has been chief executive of Bracknell, U.K.-based Exel PLC since it was formed in February 2000 by merging Ocean Group PLC and NFC PLC. The company had $6.5 billion gross revenue, inclusive of passed-on freight costs, in 200]. Exel's strategy is to combine contract logistics services with international freight management, giving customers a single worldwide service for logistics.
