HERKIMER, N.Y. -- Five men charged in connection with a rape at Herkimer County Community College have been suspended by the school.

Arrested were Leonard A. Mitchell, 22, of New York City, charged with sexual abuse and Willie J. Anderson, 22, of the Bronx. charged with rape, sexual abuse and sexual misconduct. Herkimer police said.

Police said three students were arrested and charged with felony third-degree rape following the incident recently at student apartments. Peter Rivera, 19, of Manhattan, Rudy Volcy, 17, of New York City, and Hayward Washington, 20, of New York City, were arraigned in village court and jailed with bail at $5,000, police said. …
