The UK Fertilizer Manufacturers' Association (FMA) has said that the extension of so-called Nitrogen Vulnerable Zones (NVZs) need not affect the overall application level of fertilizers, but that farmers must be more careful about the timing of such applications. The FMA is urging all farmers to adopt responsible practise and accurately calculate fertilizer needs.
