It's about, as no less an authority than Oracle icon Larry Ellison says, "the most talented assemblage of sailors in the world," all gathered not only in the same city, but on two short stretches of water on Hauraki Gulf, every day, for four months.
He's not only right, but for once in his life, perhaps guilty of understatement. The nine boats fighting for the right to take on Team New Zealand in the America's Cup races here in February likely represent the greatest combination of sailing talent and technology anywhere, ever.
