Your clicker is not deceiving you. Network shows are starting to reappear on cable channels mere days, sometimes mere hours, after they air on broadcast TV. It's that rarest of industry trends: an economizing measure that actually benefits viewers.
If you can't catch "The View" in the morning or Conan O'Brien at night, you now can watch either show on cable in the late afternoon. Can't decide between "Robbery Homicide Division" and "Law & Order: SVU," which air opposite each other on Friday nights? Forget the VCR _ both shows re-air their episodes a few days later on USA.
