NOW THEY ARE (STILL) TWO: Have you wondered which small-dish satellite TV hardware system would survive after a merger between GM's DirecTV and Echostar's Dish Network?

Wonder no more.

Justice Department officials reviewing the proposed merger leaked news last week that they're going to oppose it as monopolistic. That's even though the combined satellite TV company would still have only a 20 percent share of the pay-TV audience, smaller than the households served by the newly combined (and approved) AT&T/Comcast cable giant.
