DESPITE MORE WOMEN CLIMBING the corporate Ladder in the banking and finance industry, most organisations still have a long way to go before they create an environment that is supportive of women, leading female executives say.

Speaking at the Australian Banking and Finance newsmagazine Top Women in Financial Services Panel Discussion, Elizabeth Proust managing director of ANZ's Asset Finance division Esanda said in 2002, the fact there was still talk about women's role in business meant it was still an issue that needed to be addressed.
