Natural health practitioners have long believed in the health benefits of cranberry juice, but until now, the evidence has been slim. A study published in the June 19, 2002 edition of the Journal of the American Medical Association, however, concludes that consumption of cranberry juice cocktail may prevent urinary tract infections (UTIs) caused by antibiotic resistant strains of E. coli bacteria.
