SEATTLE _ The long, dreary count goes on for Royals right-hander Jeff Suppan.
Suppan lost his eighth straight start Sunday as the Seattle Mariners salvaged the third game of this series, 9-4, on a gray, cool afternoon as 45,461 fans packed into Safeco Field.
"It's a very humbling game," Suppan said, "and I'm just trying to work through it."
