On a day when Virginia Tech retired Michael Vick's jersey and dedicated the 11,000-seat addition in the north end zone, it was no wonder the Hokies were only 66 fans short of a sellout in their matchup with last year's SEC champion.
"I think we've come out and played hard for two weeks straight," Hokies coach Frank Beamer said. "I just told our football team, though, they have to remember that this is just two weeks. This is a long season, the longest one we have ever had."
