Get Donald Fehr, Gene Orza, Phil Bradley and Tom Glavine (in street clothes) off the TV screen and out of the public conscious, never to be seen again until after the 2006 season.

We only want to watch Glavine on the mound, painting the corners like only he can do. The rest of those union honchos must go away. Now.

NL WILD CARD: It's the Dodgers and Giants, the great rivalry, playing out once again. They haven't battled for a playoff berth since the fabulous 1997 National League West race. They are separated by one game. They still have seven meetings left_Sept. 9-11 at Pacific Bell Park and Sept. 16-19 at Dodger Stadium.

AL WEST/ WILD CARD: With the other division races settled, this is what's left in the American League. The A's appear to be running away in the West, with their 16-game winning streak entering Saturday night's game and a 3 {-game bulge over Anaheim.
