Hector Berlioz was born on December 11, 1803, and for companies across America and around the world, the new season launches a 200th-birthday celebration. If you're still recovering from the recent blowout celebrations of Verdi (the hundredth anniversary of his death seemed to last a decade), brace yourself. 2002-03 belongs to Berlioz, and many of the most hotly anticipated events this season are performances of his work.
