Q. Upgrading to Outlook Express 6.0 presented a new problem for me. Every time I open an e-mail, I get only a minimized window in which I cannot adequately see the message. How can I get Outlook Express 6.0 to open my e-mail into a maximized window?

A. That tiny window is not a bug, Mr. V., it's a feature.

By setting the open e-mail window at a small size, the software protects users against chaos if they were to order a batch of notes opened at once, which would cover the screen totally and force the user to shut each one in turn to see anything else.

There is another way to quickly review the content of all e-mail in Outlook Express (and Outlook). I always use it, even though some computer experts warn that it is possible to trigger certain script-type virus attacks. I set up Outlook to display the full content of each e-mail message in a window at the bottom of the display as I highlight each note in turn above.
