IT WAS AN UNFORGETTABLE SCENE. A FEW SUMMERS AGO, TED WILLIAMS AND Tommy Lasorda were seated in rocking chairs on the porch of the Otesaga Hotel in Cooperstown, New York, carrying on a lively discussion on hitting.
They were on hand for Hall of Fame induction ceremonies that would take place the next day.
