Dec. 28--Despite a slowing economy and the uncertainty following the September terrorist attacks, Ventura County's real estate market will end 2001 on a strong note.
Total sales may not end this year ahead of 2000's total, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing considering both 1999 and 2000 were "off the chart" years, said Elaine Pettersen, president of the Ventura County Coastal Association of Realtors.
