As the FBI put on a full-court press in its probe of two anthrax cases in Florida, a British government minister said Tuesday the al-Qaida network run by Osama bin Laden has probably acquired chemical and biological weapons.
"We know that the al-Qaida network has been trying to get hold of biological and chemical weapons for the last 10 years. We believe they've probably got some," said British Foreign Office Minister Ben Bradshaw.
"What we're not sure about is whether they've got a delivery mechanism," he told Australian Broadcasting Corp. television.
