In August, DuPont Displays and Label Systems Inc announced the formation of a joint venture called DuPont Authentication Systems (DAS) offering a total range of authentication products and services, including DuPont's photopolymer holograms (see HN Vol 15 No 5/6). DuPont Displays is the recently established business unit of the $20B DuPont de Nemours (NYSE: DD) which includes DuPont Holographics. Cheoroo Won is the president of DuPont Displays. This business unit includes the former Krystal Holographics, purchased by DuPont in November, 1999.

Label Systems, run by Michael Zubretsky and Kenneth Fells, has a 15-year record in the brand and document protection field.
