Takin' it Easy
Well, I just got the April 2001 issue and, horror of horrors, you informed the whole world of the virtues of the Kawasaki Voyager XII! I might add I was anticipating a serious discount on this overlooked tourer until your mag hit the streets. Now, I'll be lucky to get by (buy) without a premium.
I've owned three Yamaha Ventures --two first editions and an MM Ltd. The first generation Ventures were great and carried me more than 140k miles. Harley may be on the right track with the Twin Cam 8813 engine but no one is selling at a reasonable price.
The new Wing appears fabulous and should be for the price. Hope the investment bankers enjoy them. The BMW KLT is nice but someone hit it in the a-- with a 2 by 4. That pretty much leaves the Voyager XII with a radio I can understand, footpegs underneath where they belong, stock with all but the intercom and GB, and a measly three-year unlimited mileage warranty. I will pop for the new saddle and Progressive springs and shocks. I will even replace the tires and still save about four grand over the others. Now, if I can just find a dealer after your April issue willing to sell one at a discount!

Keep up the good work!
