The use of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs during pregnancy raised the risk, of miscarriage but not other adverse outcomes in an observational study by researchers in Denmark.

Using data on all pregnancies listed in a countywide birth registry between 1991 and 1998, Dr. Gunnar Nielsen of Odder (Denmark) Hospital and his associates identified 1,462 pregnant women who filled prescriptions for NSAIDs and more than 17,000 who did not.
