Aug. 9--While Los Angeles County loses manufacturing jobs, Ventura County is expected to continue a five-year growth trend by setting a new high for manufacturing employment this year, according to an economic report released today.
Manufacturing employment in Ventura County has been growing since 1996 and should reach a new high of about 40,400 jobs this year, according to the report. The aerospace and high tech sector accounts for about 26 percent of those jobs.
