Nov. 24--Broker Michael Burgio has been slapped with a lawsuit by the commercial real estate firm he left. CB Richard Ellis alleges he didn't repay almost $1 million he had gotten to tide him over until he earned commissions on lease deals.

Burgio departed the firm in August after two years -- and returned to rival Cushman & Wakefield, where he had worked for 18 years.

Burgio owes CB Richard Ellis $812,093.81 he borrowed in his first year at the firm, plus interest, according...
