Nov. 23--VF Corp. said yesterday that it has sold the assets of its information-technology operations to IBM Global Services and plans to dedicate more resources to marketing initiatives.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed. IBM Global Services will begin handling VF's information-technology operations on Jan 1. VF is a branded-apparel manufacturer and marketer based in Greensboro.
