Nov. 23--Ending months of acrimony, Parkland Memorial Hospital's board of managers approved a $77 million contract Monday with the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas.

The UT Southwestern faculty doctors who supervise the hospital's resident physicians had insisted that Parkland spend more for physician services in 2005.
