Nov. 23--In a major management shakeup, Bacardi Ltd. announced that its president and chief executive has left the company after just 17 months at the helm of the distilled spirits giant.
Javier Ferran, 48, became president and CEO of Bacardi in June 2003. A native of Spain, he was previously an executive with the Martini & Rossi organization, which Bacardi acquired in 1992.
