Nov. 21--Close to 80 residents packed the Coconut Grove Sailing Club on Wednesday to organize against Home Depot, which may take the place of the old Kmart in Coconut Grove.

Kmart's lease was purchased by the home goods chain, and the Village of Center Grove Neighborhood Association is acting quickly in anticipation of the retailer's next move, said Marc Sarnoff, the group's president.

Sarnoff, also the founder of One Grove Alliance, a coalition of Grove civic groups, is aiming to unite all Grove residents to challenge the company.
